SPT SPT-7 (Minimum actor’s salary: $510/week). Local accommodations and $125 travel stipend provided for out-of-town actors.

SEEKING

Equity actors for various roles. This is a co-production between InterAct Theatre Company (Philadelphia PA) and Passage Theatre Company (Trenton NJ).

PREPARATION

Please prepare one contemporary monologue of no longer than two (2) minutes.

SYNOPSIS:
Superstar Chinese Take-Out is a staple in the working-class Point Breeze neighborhood of South Philadelphia. But when well-meaning hipsters begin to move in with dreams of healthier food options, tensions ignite in the community.

LINDA WU: Female, Chinese-American, 40’s, working-class cook at Superstar

TOMMY: Male, African American, 20’s, working-class

BOODAH: Male, African American, 30’s, working class
