Seeking Actors to fulfill principal and chorus roles in our 2014/15 Season.
Preparation Please prepare two contrasting monologues, no more than two minutes total. Please bring two headshots and resumes to the audition, stapled together.

THE LAST FIVE YEARS Music and Lyrics by Jason Robert Brown Directed by Peter Schneider Musical Direction by Michael Reno Rehearses from December 28, 2015 Performs from January 21 to February 15, 2015 Jamie Wellerstein, an attractive and slightly neurotic novelist and Cathy Hiatt, an aspiring actress who is his “shiksa goddess,” meet, are drawn together and then pulled apart by circumstances and choices. This compelling contemporary musical, which boasts a thrilling pop rock score by Jason Robert Brown (Songs for a New World), takes us backward and forward in time through the joys and sorrows of young love. SEEKING: Jamie Wellerstein (Male / 23 yrs to 30 yrs) Character arcs from an ambitious guy on a promising first date with a dazzling career to someone who is blinded by success and ego. He is very lovable, yet makes unintentional choices that sabotages his own happiness. Vocal range: A2 - Bb4. Cathy Hiatt (Female / 23 yrs to 30 yrs) Character arcs from an ambitious, fresh-faced girl in a new relationship to a woman stunned by a betrayal and a divorce that she is only beginning to understand. Vocal range: F3 - D#5 ________________________ BLITHE SPIRIT By Noel Coward Directed by David Gilmore Rehearses from May 5, 2015 Performs from May 27 to June 21, 2015 In this hilarious comedy by Noël Coward, a cynical writer doing research invites an eccentric clairvoyant to his home to conduct a séance. But the plot thickens when he finds himself haunted by the ghost of his beautiful and petulant first wife. David Gilmore, who has directed more than a dozen productions in London’s West End, makes his Rubicon debut with this production. SEEKING: Ruth Condomine A smart looking woman, Ruth is the wife of Charles. She is a bit jealous of Charles' relationship with his first wife. Mid 30s. Charles Condomine Charles is an intelligent and urbane English novelist. He’s the husband of Ruth Condomine and deceased first wife, Elvira. 40s. Edith is always in a hurry. ________________________ MY FAIR LADY Book and Lyrics by Alan Jay Lerner Music by Frederick Loewe Directed by James O’Neil Rehearses from September 30, 2015 Performs from October 21 to November 15, 2015 This intimate, chamber version of the legendary Lerner and Loewe classic follows the transformation of Professor Henry Higgins, an arrogant and attractive phonetician who makes a bet that he can transform a “deliciously low” flower girl (Eliza Doolittle) into a lady by teaching her to speak more beautifully. The magnificent score includes “I Could Have Danced All Night,” “On the Street Where You Live” and “I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face.” Director James O’Neil returns to the source material to explore the Shavian themes of class struggle, social reform and women’s rights.
