Equity actors for roles in Reagle Music Theatre's 2022 Season to include WEST SIDE STORY and PIPPIN (see breakdown).

In order to attend callbacks, rehearse and perform in-person at our theatre this season, actors, musicians, crew and RMT staff and vendors must be fully vaccinated. Boosters are strongly encouraged. A certified COVID-compliance officer will be present.

WEST SIDE STORY
Tony (male identified,20-30) Former leader of the Jets who has found a new lifestyle now. A romantic young man, he falls in love with Maria. Violently torn between his friendships and love, he meets an untimely death. Vocal Range: Bb2-Bb4
Riff (male identified, 20-30) Tony's best friend. A spritely, quick-tempered leader who seeks to eliminate the Sharks and establish his gang's dominance, is eventually murdered by Bernardo. Excellent dance and partnering skills. Vocal range: Bb2-G4
Bernardo (male identified, 20-35) A proud, strong Puerto Rican man, Leader of the Sharks who seeks to carve out territory to build their identities. Maria's brother, Anita's boyfriend. Excellent dance and partnering skills. Vocal range bottom: Bb2- Eb4
Maria (female identified, 18-25) An innocent young woman of Puerto Rican descent, a romantic who falls in love with Tony against Bernardo's wishes and finds herself at the center of the gangs' rivalry. Vocal range: Bb-C6
Anita (female identified,25-35) A feisty, assertive woman of Puerto Rican descent. Bernardo's girlfriend and Maria's friend, offers older sister advice. Excellent dance & partnering skills. Vocal Range: F3- D5
Chino (male identified, 20-25) A naive Shark who turns murderous and vengeful. Suitor to Maria and friend of Bernardo's. Strong dance skills.
Anybodys (Transgender, non-binary, queer, or female identified, 15-25) Spunky. desperate to become a member of the Jets. Full of energy and heart. A spitfire. Strong dance skills.
Doc (male identified, 60-75) The owner of the candy store where the Jets hang out.
Schrank (male identified, 40-55) A local police detective frustrated by the ongoing gang violence.
Krupke (male identified, 35-60) The local beat cop. Regularly mocked by the local gangs.
Ensemble (any ethnicities, female and male identified, 18-30) Excellent singers and dancers (proficient in partner dancing and ballet) to play Sharks (a Puerto Rican gang) and Jets (a rival gang), as well as other members of the community. There will be opportunities to understudy principal roles.
PIPPIN
Leading Player (female identified, 25-45) The ultimate 'ringleader.' Masterfully charming, manipulative, a chameleon of sorts. Guides Pippin through their own story and tries to intervene at the end. Obsessed with putting on a great show for the audience. An excellent dancer. Vocal Range: Db3- Ab4
Pippin (transgender, non-binary, queer, or male identified, 18-21) Our story's young and confused protagonist. Pippin is longing to find their purpose in life. Naive, innocent, and discontent. Eventually finds love, and meaning in life, with Catherine and Theo. Vocal Range: G2-Ab4
Charles (male identified, 50-60) Pippin's demanding father and King of the Holy Roman Empire. More comfortable wielding a sword than breaking bread. Wears his years with great pride. Vocal Range: G2-E4
Lewis (male identified, 18-25) Pippin's not-too-bright half-brother, and after Pippin, heir to the throne. Doted upon by his mother, Fastrada, Lewis loves weightlifting, wrestling, showing off, and, most of all, Lewis.
Fastrada (female identified, 35-45) Pippin's conniving stepmother, sexy and smart. A seductress, no stranger to deceit and betrayal, and skilled at using her sexual appeal to benefit Lewis and herself. Vocal Range: A3-F5
Berthe (female identified, 60-75) Pippin's saucy grandmother. A brassy broad full of wisdom, grace, and sass. She tries to encourage Pippin (and the audience) to live life to the fullest. Vocal Range: E3-C5
Catherine (female identified, 25-35) A widow and mother, a hopeless romantic who is beautiful and possesses graceful elegance. Encountering Pippin at a low point, she eventually falls in love. Vocal Range: F#3-Db5
Theo (male identified, 6-12) Catherine's son who befriends Pippin.
Ensemble (any genders, 18-45) Charlemagne’s Army, Monks, Nobility, Peasants, The Players. Excellent singers and dancers.
