BREAKDOWN
ROSSI -
Chef Rossi is a late 30s to early 50s female punk rock caterer to the stars. She is Jewish, but not quite kosher. Rossi, as the owner and executive chef of The Raging Skillet, a cutting-edge catering company known for breaking any and all rules, has earned a reputation as the one to call when it's time to do something different. She is here to tell her “pulling-herselfup- by-her-bootstraps” rise through the culinary ranks. She is the essential bad-ass.
MOM -
Rossi’s mother. The quintessential ”Jewish mother”...on the surface. However, maybe the mother that Rossi remember and has rebelled against is not the person she thinks she is. Funny, caring, and at times, overbearing. Mom is looking out for Rossi, even when Rossi doesn’t need anyone looking out for her. 60’s.
DJ SKILLIT -
DJ serves as an assistant in the kitchen and in the storytelling for Rossi. DJ Skillit provides the sounds of the performance as well as the voices from characters from Rossi’s past. Race is unimportant and gender is flexible. High energy and likable. 20s-30s.
