PRINCE FAGGOT
In this meta-theatrical satire, an ensemble of queer, trans, and nonbinary performers reckon with how the forces of power, privilege, and colonization play upon their lives as the playwright offers a central provocation: what if queer people dared to imagine a future monarch having a life that resembled their own? There will be full nudity in this production.
PERFORMER 1 - South Asian. Gay. A man in his mid-twenties to mid-thirties. Incredibly charismatic with access to deep anger. Strong sense of self. Also doubles as a British person. Full nudity is required for this role.
PERFORMER 2 - A queer, nonbinary or trans person of color in his/their fifties. Paternal. Regal by birth but a wet rag by nature. Also doubles as a British person.
PERFORMER 3 - A trans woman or nonbinary person in her/their fifties. Open ethnicity. Glamorous and elegant, has some bite to her and a great sense of humor. Also doubles as a British person.
PERFORMER 4 - A trans woman or nonbinary person of color in her/their twenties. Precocious, eloquent, quick-witted. Contemporary and fearless. Also doubles as a British person.
PERFORMER 5 - A queer, nonbinary, or trans person. 50s-60s. Open ethnicity. Strong comic sensibility. Larger than life. A wit. Also doubles as a British person.
PERFORMER 6 - White. Gay. A man in his 20s to early 30s. Charismatic. Someone who can be epic and larger than life and then simple and grounded at the flip of a switch. Consciously performative. Also doubles as a British person. Full nudity is required for this role.
