Lane - a doctor, with a cleaning lady. Early 50s, male-identifying.
Matilde - a Brazilian maid who hates cleaning. She has a refined sense of deadpan. Late 20s, female-identifying.
Virginia - Lane’s sister who loves cleaning. Late 50s, female-identifying.
Charles - Lane’s husband, a surgeon, who is childlike under his white coat. 50s, male-identifying.
Ana – an Argentinian woman who is older than Lane and impossibly charismatic. 50s-60s, female-identifying.

A poignant story about a child with a terminal illness who connects delicate moments in unusual ways. After discovering the mysterious “Postal Service,” he sends messages to the world, and awaits a response. This poetic play, created through magical realism, reveals the quiet ways in which we connect.

Sam Hotchkiss – Tony’s father. Not the best man, but a good-enough man, which is the best man anyone can ask for. A coward. Male-identifying, 40s.
Lawrence – A lost young man with a bicycle who reads to Tony. Male-identifying, 20s.
Elmo the Shaman – We all know better shamans. We may not know better dreamers. Male-idntifying, 40+.

Sally Applewhite – Former Miss Ohio, current radio play actress who plays Mary Hatch, Mr. Potter, and others in tonight’s broadcast. 30s-40s.
Lana Sherwood – A radio play veteran playing Violet Bick, Mrs. Bailey, and others in tonight’s broadcast. 30s.
Harry ‘Jazbo’ Heywood – A comedic actor playing the angel Clarence, Sam Wainwright, and others in tonight’s broadcast. 30s-40s.

The cast is composed of various citizens and travelers in the not-quite town of Almost, Maine ranging from mill workers to snowmobilers, and those returning after a long absence and those that have never left. Each scene features a different grouping of characters from the town that all know each other.
