Male and Female Actors for 15/16 Season

Preparation
Prepare 2 contrasting monologues; for singers an optional 16 bars of a song (accompanist will be provided on both days). AEA Actors audition should be no longer than 4 mins. Total Non-AEA Actor’s audition should be no longer than 2 mins (we may only have time to see 1 monologue for Non-AEA Actors)

Joe Gargery: Age 35-55. Low English. Husband of Pip’s sister, a blacksmith, good friend and mentor to Pip.

Mrs Joe Gargery: Age 35-55. Low English. Pip’s hot-tempered older sister and guardian, wife to Joe. Doubles with Miss Havisham: High English. A wealthy and eccentric recluse who is Estella’s guardian.

Biddy: Actress age 20-30. Low English. Pip’s faithful childhood friend and confidant. Doubles with Estella: High English. Ward of Miss Havisham, raised to be hard and haughty and capricious to the last degree. Constant object of Pip’s affections.
