ORDINARY DAYS tells the story of four young New Yorkers whose lives intersect as they search for fulfillment, happiness, love and cabs. ORDINARY DAYS celebrates how 8.3 million individual stories combine in unexpected ways to make New York City such a unique and extraordinary home.
SEEKING
NOTE: all ethnicities desired and encouraged to audition.
WARREN
(male 20s) tenor to A. Innocent, eager, romantic, optimistic, cheerful, aspiring artist and art lover; out gay man; great sense of humor; in search of meaning through his work; appreciates the simple things.
DEB
(female 20s) alto to E. Dissatisfied, cynical, defensive grad student; neurotic, high energy with a wry sense of humor about the world and her place in it; looking for success, but without the passion.
JASON
(male 30s) tenor/baritone to G#. Solid, steady and somewhat conservative architect, but can be goofy and playful; ready for a commitment after a life of wanting the unattainable; almost ready to leave the city.
CLAIRE
(female 30s). alto/mezzo to E. Smart, impassioned, definitive and successful, yet fun with a twinkle in her eye; dealing with a traumatic past while trying to move forward.
