SEEKING
Equity actors for roles in Northern Sky Theater's 2025 Season (see breakdown). Actors will also be considered for new works Readings and Workshops during the 2025 season. Performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, ages, as well as performers with disabilities, are encouraged to attend. All roles will be understudied.
PREPARATION
Please prepare two short contrasting monologues and two short contrasting songs. An accompanist will be provided. You are welcome to sing a cappella or accompany yourself on any instrument of your choice. Sharing your instrumental skills is encouraged. You may be asked to read scenes from the season’s world premieres. Scripts remain in process.

Present Day
SEEKING:
GABE FREDERIKS: co-heir to the Frederiks dairy farm. Home briefly from the big city and feeling uncomfortable, Gabe is struggling to sort out feelings of where he belongs.
ELSIE FREDERIKS: co-heir to the Frederiks dairy farm; GABE's younger sister. Self-sufficient farmer, persevering to keep the family farm going, lonely.
TJ & JT BLATSCHKE: “identical” twins who work the Frederiks farm, but don't actually look (or act) anything alike. They love farming and their fraternal relationship, but harbor secret hopes & dreams as well.
LINDA GUSTAFSSON: Next door neighbor to the Frederiks (along with her dad, “Gus”) and GABE's childhood playmate and high school sweetheart. Common sense good friend with a huge heart.
RITA SPICER: GABE’s Hollywood manager. High Powered and decisive.

ADAM CAPP: Owner of Cappy’s Happy Pig. Great and involved dad, highly competitive.
JULIE: Adam’s daughter. A “Juliet” figure.

SOMETHING IN THE WATER*
Circa 1911
SEEKING:
NORMAN BIDWELL: Second generation owner of the Grand Waukesha Springs Resort. Inherited the business from his father and has sunk every penny he has into keeping his father’s dream and business alive.
KIT HAGGAR: Eager, young and optimistic, Norman Bidwell’s niece. After spending the summers of her youth as a guest at the Grand, she now works for her Uncle. She dreams of one day owning the Grand and will do anything to keep it open.
WALTER W WALTERS, III: Arrogant, entitled bachelor and heir to his family fortune. His freewheeling lifestyle has gotten him into a heap of trouble and he finds himself hiding out at the Grand Waukesha Springs Resort.
PENELOPY PENNYFARTHING: Grand in opinion and stature, she inherited a huge fortune and currently spends her days traveling the world in search of inspiration to fuel her secret pastime.
FANNY BARTLETT: Wildly overdramatic stage star. Jilted ex-fiancé of Walter Walters, and longtime girlfriend of gangster Big Joe Coletti. (Note: also plays Constance in the opening sequence.)
BIG JOE COLETTI: Infamous short-tempered Chicago gangster. Despite his oversized reputation, he is not physically imposing. Recently released from prison, he will do anything to win back Fanny. (Note: doubles as the Health Inspector.)

SYNOPSIS: Two bachelors inhabit a cave-like apartment basking in a blissful state of extended adolescence. One night they innocently order out for pizza, never expecting the delivery girl is the reincarnation of a woman they both wronged in a previous lifetime.
