CONTRACT

LORT Rep Sit-down production at Barter Theatre: $750 per week, plus housing (AEA LORT D Contract). Touring: $900 per week plus $55 per diem, and hotels provided (AEA LORT D Tour Contract)

SEEKING

Equity performers for 5 roles/understudies for both the sit-down production at the Barter Theatre, as well as the Barter Theatre touring production

TOUR Part 1: 09/16 – 10/14 Weekends Only. Perfs of this tour are weekend or single performances. Producer will fly actors in and out for each of these weekends. Actors will get to be home during weeks in between.

TOUR Part 2: 12/2. Producer will pay a 2-wk AEA min. for this performance with a one-day brush-up rehearsal prior.

TOUR Part 3: 2/2/18 – 2/10/18

TOUR Part 4: 3/8/18 – 4/28/18

[JOHNNY CASH]
Male, 20 – 30. Actor/singer/guitar player to portray Johnny Cash at the dawn of his epic career; must be familiar with his music and able to play guitar; tall; should sound and look somewhat like Johnny without being an “impersonator.” Johnny Cash sings “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Sixteen Tons,” “I Walk The Line,” and “Riders In The Sky.”

[Carl Perkins]
Male 20 – 35. Actor/singer/guitar player (lead guitar); he was the American pioneer of rockabilly music and best known for his song “Blue Suede Shoes”; must be an excellent lead guitarist. Carl Perkins sings “Matchbox,” “Who Do You Love?,” “My Babe,” and “See You Later, Alligator.”

[SAM PHILLIPS]
Male, 25 – 40. Excellent actor; “Father of Rock’n’Roll” and founder of Sun Records who discovered Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and many others including Roy Orbison and B.B. King; a towering and charismatic figure in American music.

[ELVIS - UNDERSTUDY]
Male, 20 – 30. Actor/singer/guitar player to portray Elvis in his 20s at the beginning of his career; must be familiar with his music and able to play guitar; should sound and look somewhat like Elvis without being an “impersonator.” Elvis sings: “Memories Are Made Of This,” “That’s All Right,” “Long Tall Sally,” “Peace In The Valley,” “Party,” and “Hound Dog.”

[Jerry Lee Lewis - UNDERSTUDY]
Male, 20 – 30. Actor/singer/pianist; he was rock & roll’s legendary piano prodigy and celebrated “Last Man Standing”; must be a superb piano player, able to play like Jerry Lee Lewis; fun, energetic; comic skills a plus. In the production, Jerry Lee Lewis sings “Real Wild Child,” “Great Balls Of Fire,” and “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On.”

All other roles have been CAST.
