Equity actors for various roles in the upcoming season.

No roles will be understudied

Merrimack Repertory Theatre currently has no open stage management positions for the 2017/18 season.

PREPARATION

Actors are asked to prepare two contrasting contemporary monologues. Total audition time not to exceed 2 minutes. Bring picture and resume.

Williamina Fleming: 50’s smart as a whip and fun, Scottish.

Available Roles:
RAZAN: Recent immigrant from an unnamed Muslim country, about 17 years old. Beautiful, refined, responsible, careful not to get too enthusiastic about children’s games. Fierce protector of her sister, Yara. Plays Meg. Also plays: Hannah, Mr. Laurence.

YARA: Recent immigrant from an unnamed Muslim country, about 14 years old. Sensitive, creative, very dry sense of humor underneath her shy exterior. She is also withdrawn, quiet, and jumpy; the journey she’s recently been on has deeply affected her. Plays Beth. Also plays: Laurie. Yara plays the piano with some proficiency and we are looking to cast an actor that does the same.

CHARLOTTE: Suburban white American tween, about 12 years old. Very literal, loves being the baby of the family and center of attention, a perfectionist, has a slightly hostile pre-teen edge. In spite of sisterly bickering, she looks up to her sister Eliza and thinks the world of her. Plays Amy. Also plays: Marmee.
