Producer intends to tour the production following the NY engagement, with a first stop in Washington, DC in late April 2016.

SYNOPSIS: Martin Luther’s trial, as requested by The Devil, takes place in the After-life. Katie, as Katherina Von Bora, Luther’s wife, is charged with defending him. The multiple characters, past and present, are called forth to testify.

NOTE: We are looking for actors who can handle complex language. Strong clear voices a must.

SEEKING THE FOLLOWING:

THE DEVIL —Male actor, 40’s-50’s. Smart, mercurial, witty and at times dangerous. Any ethnicity.

KATIE —Female actress, 30’s, Martin Luther’s wife. Smart, passionate, driven and very grounded. Caucasian.

ST. PETER —Male actor, 40’s-60’s. Authoritative and used to being in charge. He presides over the trial. Mediterranean coloring preferred.

MARTIN LUTHER—Male actor, 30’s-40’s. A conflicted soul. Charismatic, possessing a sharp intellect with a large emotional range, on a mission, obsessed. Caucasian.

CONFESSOR/MARTIN LUTHER KING/ TETZEL//PHILIP/
ARCHANGEL MICHAEL- Male actor, 30’s-40’s/ Must be adept at multiple characterizations and accents. African-American.
