Equity actors for roles in MALVOLIO, a comedic sequel inspired by Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night (see breakdown).
Actors of diverse races and ethnicities are encouraged to attend.
All actors should be prepared with a 1-minute heightened language monologue and a 1 minute of a Contemporary monologue. While we encourage you to audition with selections that showcase your talents, comedic material is preferred.

Equity encourages members to prepare for their audition prior to arriving at the audition venue, to the extent that they can (e.g., get dressed, hair/make-up, etc.) to avoid crowding in bathrooms and dressing rooms.

FATHER TOPAS: (age 50+) A priest
FOOL: (any age) A court jester (also called Feste); as the name suggests, a fool, full of wit and wisdom
KING CHADLIO: (age 40’s-60’s) King of Illyria; aloof and shows no regret; major comedic ability
MALVOLIO: (age 40’s-60’s) A General and former servant to Olivia; embittered; verbally dexterous, strong comedic ability.
MARIA: (age 30’s-50’s) Olivia's former Lady, now married to Sir Toby; caring and conniving
NURSE: (age 40’s-60’s) Volina’s nursemaid; warm and thoughtful, kind and protective
OLIVIA: (age 40’s-50’s) A wealthy Countess, married to Sebastian
ORSINO: (age 40’s-50’s) Duke of Illyria, married to Viola; Volina’s father
PRINCE FURTADO: (age 30’s-40’s) King Chadlio’s son; careless and hilarious
SEBASTIAN: (age mid-30’s-50’s) Viola's twin brother, married to Olivia
SIR TOBY BELCH: (age 40’s-50’s) Olivia's uncle; full of mischief and excess
VALENTIN: (any age) A steward to King Chadlio
VIOLA: (age 40’s-50’s) Duchess of Illyria, married to Orsino; Volina’s mother, self-effacing and wise
VOLINA: (age 20’s-30’s) Daughter of Orsino and Viola; looking to buck the world, a renegade, strong comedic ability.
