Breakdown

MAD RIVER RISING, by Dana Yeaton, is a drama about an 85-year old man who escapes from his nursing home and is discovered hiding in the hayloft of the family farm the week before it goes to auction. His grandson and daughter-in-law try to help him as he is haunted by visions and memories of the past. Lead role of ANGUS is cast (Bob Hogan).

SEEKING:

MAE/MARIE:
Female, 40-50, Native American. Iroquois/French Canadian descent. Mae is a ghost who haunts the old man Angus, forcing him to view his past with an honest and non-judgmental eye. Marie is Mae’s daughter, a practical woman trying her best to hold the family together.

CHARLIE:
Male, 36-42. Angus’s grandson. A management consultant out of his element and over his head with family problems. He is estranged from his wife, trying his best to be a good father, and now struggles to deal with his grandfather in the throes of dementia.

SPENCER:
Male, late 20s. Boyfriend of Mae’s daughter. Not a redneck, but a country guy who plays softball and is always ready to make a buck one way or another. Down to earth and matter of fact personality, with a sly country sense of humor.
