MAESTRO DE CEREMONIA- 20s-60s, Open gender, Latinq. Magnetically lovable with an amazing
ability to speak off the cuff and interact with the audience throughout the performance and in pre-show
activities. Commands the attention anytime they are holding the microphone. Charismatic performer
with incredible stage presence and improv abilities. Fluent in Spanish.
EL REFEREE- 20s-60s, Open gender, Open Ethnicity. The officiator of the matches. Likable and
means well. Physical agility. Stage combat knowledge is a plus. Please denote your experience in the
wrestling industry if any.
THE CHILD- 8-12 years old, Open gender, Latinq. The embodiment of innocence and hope.
Authentic, Joyful, and very vocal. Contagious energy and spirit. Please note THE CHILD is staged as
a member of the audience for a majority of the performance and will go onstage at various moments.
COMENTARISTA 1- Open age, Male. Latinq. Play by play commentator and the voice of the
audience; he raises the questions the audience may be thinking. He is bombastic and tends to side
with the tecnicos. Has great improvisation skills as there will be live commentary. Fluent in Spanish.
Wrestling knowledge a plus; please denote applicable experience.
COMENTARISTA 2- Open age, Female. Latinq. Color commentator that is snarky and quick witted.
She gives the tecnicos a hard time and loves to banter. Has great improvisation skills as there will be
live commentary. She and COMENTARISTA 1 have known/been working with each other for a long
time. Have a Statler and Waldorf vibe. Fluent in Spanish.
HUITZI- Early-Mid 20s, Male. Latinq. Represents the Sun God and is a third-generation luchador. He
is a bundle of energy, spunky, and very ambitious. Loveable and means well. Epitome of a good guy
with star quality – we want to root for him. Like a human Labrador in many ways, white meat baby face
type. Please denote any experience in any of the following: wrestling, stage combat, circus/tumbling,
and/or any stunt work. Able to take bumps (high intensity falls).
TEZCA/XOTOL/MACUIL- Late 30s-Early 40s. Male. Latinq. TEZCA represents the God of smoke and
mirrors. He is a bitter veteran and a rudo to his core. Has a nasty attitude and doesn’t care much
about the rules. He’s quick with words and can work a crowd. Improv skills a plus. XOTOL represents
the God of fire and lightning. Subdued and methodical -- a master of mind games. Commands a room.
MACUIL is a rabbit. He is a loser and a clown. Performers who are wrestlers or have extensive prior
wrestling experience is a plus. Comfortable taking bumps (high intensity falls). Must be able to lift a
person. Fluent in Spanish.
COYOL- Mid 20s-Mid 30s Female. Open Ethnicity, Represents the Moon Goddess and is a third-
generation luchador. An immovable brick house with attitude. Likable and strong willed. Confident and unstoppable aura. Monster Heel type – think Andre the Giant; she has a physically imposing
presence. Please denote any experience in any of the following: wrestling, stage combat,
circus/tumbling, and/or any stunt work.This role will be required to lift a person.
QUETZA/TECHALOTL- 20s-30s. Female. Latinq. QUETZA represents the God of knowledge. She is
a veteran that is subdued, cold, calculated, and a master of mind games with a hint of camp.
TECHALOTL is a rabbit. She is a loser. Fluent in Spanish. Please denote experience with stage combat. This role will be required to take simple bumps (high intensity falls)
CENTEOTL/ITZLA- Late 20s-Early 30s. Female. Latinq. CENTEOTL represents the God of maize.
She is straight-laced and to the point. All business. Quick and dangerous. ITZLA represents the God
of frost and is very quick and dangerous. Fluent in Spanish. Performers who are professional wrestlers
or who have extensive wrestling experience is a plus.
OPOCHTLI/XOCHI- Late 20s-Early 30s. Male. Open Ethnicity. OPOCHTLI represents the God of
fishing. He is straight-laced and to the point. XOCHI represents the God of Summer. He is pompous
and thinks very highly of himself. Has a ‘don’t touch me, you smell bad’ kind of aura. Please denote
any experience in any of the following: wrestling, stage combat, circus/tumbling, and/or any stunt work.
