Please prepare a short song you love to sing that shows off your voice. Pop, gospel & contemporary music theatre songs all work well. Bring sheet music; accompanist provided.

Bring picture and resume.

SEEKING

GRIFFIN STANDBY
African American man. 20’s. A well intentioned young man, searching for his place in the world. He embarks on a volunteer mission to Uganda and is confronted by the complexities of “helping.” Soulful, smart, funny and conflicted. Must be an extremely strong actor/singer. Tenor.

RYAN STANDBY
Caucasian man. 20’s. Griffin’s Jewish boyfriend and aspiring composer. Appealing, grounded, supportive, smart, level headed and funny. Must be an extremely strong actor/singer. Tenor.

JOY/RAINLADY UNDERSTUDY
African or African American female. 20’s-30’s. Seeking an incredibly strong actress with a phenomenal voice. JOY: Poised, intelligent, authoritative & stern, but not without appeal. A woman with a dark past who has learned to move forward and not look back. Older than the rest, but still has a youthful appearance. She runs the house and keeps everyone, especially Jacob, on a tight leash. African dialect. RAINLADY: A vocal powerhouse. Possess a maternal, grounded energy. Should be an incredible singer with strong vocal improv skills.
