Seeking
Looking for a multi-racial cast of phenomenal actor/singer/dancers who can REALLY sell the sights and sounds of 1940s swing jump and jive!

Preparation
Actors should prepare 32 bars of music from two 1930’s or 1940’s standards- one upbeat and one ballad.

Additional Audition Day: December 2, 2014
First rehearsal: February 17, 2015
First preview: March 12, 2015
Final performance: April 5, 2015 (with a possible extension through April 12, 2015)

The Mikado, Baritone — 40s-50s; the big “cat” of Japan.
Nanki-Poo, Tenor — 20s-30s; the son of the Mikado. Traveling incognito. Big BRIGHT sound!
Yum-Yum, Soprano — 20s; the ward of Titipu's Lord High Executioner. A real CUTIE!
Pitti-Sing, Mezzo-Soprano — 20s-30s; Yum-Yum's sister. BIG belt!
Peep-Bo, Soprano — 20s-30s; Yum-Yum's sister.
Pish-Tush, Tenor — 30s-40s; the “coolest” gentleman of Japan
Ko-Ko, Baritone — 30s-50s; Lord High Executioner. THE comic role!
Pooh-Bah, Bass — 30s-50s; Lord High “Everything Else.”
Katisha, Contralto — 30s-50s; spurned elderly suitor of Nanki-Poo. She is NOT HAVIN' IT! Bye, Felicia!

Singing, dancing ensemble of 6 to 8. SWING DANCING WILL BE INVOLVED!
