HONKY TONK ANGELS - Featuring 30 incredible country hits, Honky Tonk Angels is the story of three gals who risk it all to follow their dreams to become country music singers.
SUE ELLEN: (She/Her, 30s) A Los Angeles career woman. She is a “citified” country girl. Smart, sexy and brassy. Solid dancer (including basic tap) – Roller skating and baton twirling a plus. Solid with harmony singing and has astute comedic timing. Alto/Mezzo Belt.
DARLENE: (She/Her, 20s) A young woman from the Deep South in her late teens to early twenties. She is pretty, sweet, and simple. She plays simple guitar. Basic tap/clogging. Moves very well. Solid with harmony singing and has astute comedic timing. Country Soprano with belt.
ANGELA: (She/Her, Mid 30s-40s) A Texas mother and housewife in her late 30s to mid 40s. She has a great sense of humor and a fiercely independent streak. She identifies with “Roseanne,” an earth mother comedienne. Moves very well. Solid with harmony singing and has astute comedic timing. Mezzo with power.
