BREAKDOWN
Linda Mason – Female. Early 30s. A school teacher with hidden talents; at first she is tough and distant, unwilling to fall for Jim’s charms; but she is ultimately won over by his kindness, humor and their mutual love of music; a lovely, charming and funny girl; must sing and dance extremely well; belt/mix.
Danny – Male. Early 50s. The energetic and sarcastic manager for the musical act of Hardy, Hanover, and Dixon. Will stop at nothing to make his clients stars.
Charlie Winslow – Male. To play 9-12 years old. Precocious, straight forward and practical, but oddly charming; not one to mince words; one of Linda’s students who works part time as a messenger for the bank; seeking a strong actor/singer; changed or unchanged voice. NOTE: The theatre intends to cast this role as Non-AEA.
