Actors travel by company van and participate in set-up and striking of small scenic elements, props, and costumes. The company will present approximately six performances per week during the tour. The final three weeks will be played at The Public Theater with eight performances per week, and will be open to the general public.

BREAKDOWN
THE COMPANY: A group of 8 highly adventurous actors who will all tell the story and inhabit many characters, including The Chorus. Open to all ages provided that they are prepared for A LOT of movement. All actors will play multiple characters regardless of their (or the characters) ethnicity, race, gender identity (cis, trans, non-binary), body type, disability. Aggressively seeking an ethnically diverse group of collaborative, language-oriented actors who reflect all of New York’s multi-cultural populations, neighborhoods and communities. All must be very game for an ensemble based exploration of the play and interested in participating in an extremely physical production, much of which will be developed through movement improvisation as part of the rehearsal process. PLEASE NOTE: While any Shakespeare production needs actors with access to great emotional truth combined with the use of heightened language, prior professional experience with Shakespeare is NOT a pre-requisite for the exciting and unconventional approach to this production. Enormous talent, creativity, collaborative spirit and enjoyment of working in a very physical style within an ensemble are A MUST.
