Please be prepared to sing 16 bars from traditional musical theater repertoire (Golden Age) that shows your voice and range. The score is pop/legit. An accompanist will be provided. Please bring sheet music in your proper key and bring a headshot and resume, stapled together.

Equity encourages members to prepare for their audition prior to arriving at the audition venue, to the extent that they can (e.g., get dressed, hair/make-up, etc.) to avoid crowding in bathrooms and dressing rooms.
FRITZ – Fritz Kruger, a nightclub owner. No-nonsense. A real businessman. Practical. Not easily swayed. Male identifying.
EZRA – Ezra Kaplan, the owner of Berlin’s swankiest nightclub. A show-biz veteran who has seen everything. Amusing. Something of an impresario. Male identifying. 35 to 50 years old.
OBERSTURMFUHRER - A lieutenant in the SS. Matter-of-fact. A loyal, unquestioning follower. Male identifying.
TITUS - A Bolshevik friend of Ruth's. Also plays the Ziegfeld Follies Master of Ceremonies. Black. Male identifying. 20s – 30s. Bass-Baritone.
ENSEMBLE - Seeking male identifying and female identifying performers. 21 – 45 years old. Caucasian, Black and Latine performers. Excellent singers who are versatile actors and dancers or strong movers to understudy characters and will fill principal understudy assignments.
Ensemble Will Play: A Cantor, Wedding Guests, Cabaret Patrons, The Cast and Crew Of The Motion Picture—“Auf Diese Welt,” Berliners, A Border Guard, A Radio Announcer, SS Officers, Nazi Youths, A Stage Manager, Young Women On A Train, Train Porters.
SWINGS – Seeking male identifying and female identifying performers to serve as swings. 21 – 40 years old. Caucasian, Black and Latine performers. Excellent singers who are versatile actors and dancers or strong movers to understudy chorus and principal roles.
