Breakdown

HAMLET by William Shakespeare, performed by ten actors who have learned all the roles. Each night, character names are drawn out of a hat in front of the audience at the top of the show. The cast takes 5 minutes to get in place and perform. This means every actor knows every role.

PREPARATION:
Each actor should prepare a soliloquy of the character Hamlet's of their choosing. Choose the one you connect to most. Please also prepare a soliloquy of another character, choosing one that you would least likely be cast as. The "Hamlet roulette" concept for this production is not a gimmick. The play will be taken seriously in all its comedy, tragedy, philosophy, and action.

BREAKDOWN:
Ten actors - five female and five male - all capable of playing all of the roles in Hamlet.
