The Fireside will promote a fully vaccinated workplace. You must be fully vaccinated in order to audition. You will be required to be fully vaccinated prior to the day of auditions and provide proof of vaccination.

Equity encourages everyone participating in the auditions to wear a two-ply cloth face mask, surgical
mask, singer’s mask or respirator (N95, KN95 or KF94). Single-ply face masks, gaiters and bandanas

Equity encourages members to prepare for their audition prior to arriving at the audition venue, to the
extent that they can (e.g., get dressed, hair/make-up, etc.) to avoid crowding in bathrooms and
dressing rooms.

JOHN GUSTAFSON (retired history teacher) – Male, Age 70; Conservative, finicky and set in his
ways. Has impeccable comedic skills and sings well.
MAX GOLDMAN (his neighbor; retired TV repairman) – Male, Age 71; He has a knack for insults and
wicked practical jokes. Has impeccable comedic skills and sings well.
ARIEL TRUAX (college professor) – Female, Age 45-55; A beautiful, free-spirited, playful newcomer to
town. Has excellent comedic skills and sings well.
JACOB GOLDMAN (Max’s son; a lawyer) – Male, Age 30–40; Lonely in love and looking for a life
change. A strong singer.
MELANIE NORTON (John’s daughter) – Female, Age 30-40; A real estate agent whose marriage is
falling apart. She's longing for a life change - and a warmer climate. A strong singer.
SANDRA SNYDER (nefarious tax collector) – Female, Age 35 – 45; Unrelenting and by the books.
Sings well.
“GRANDPA” GUSTAFSON (John’s oversexed father) – Male, Age 90s; Has impeccable comedic
skills and sings well.
CHUCK BARRELS (owns the town’s general store) – Male, Age 60s; Has good comedic skills and
sings well.
PUNKY BARRELS (Chuck’s niece; also new to town) – Female, Age 55; Has good comedic skills and
sings well.
