Cinderellish
World Premiere Musical by Arnold Margolin & Weslie Brown, directed by Cathey Sawyer
First rehearsal on or about 6/26/16; runs 7/21/16-8/6/16

Seeking versatile, comedic actors with strong voices for this world premiere musical about a team of writers trying to create a ''Cinderellish'' musical.

Liz Summers: In her mid-to-late 20s. In spite of the fact that she was born and raised in Truth Or Consequences, New Mexico, that she hates the Cinderella story; that she sings the entire score of a different musical every morning in the shower, alone; and that she assumes another person's identity, she is someone we enjoy watching and rooting for - she is a sunny survivor, probably more naive than she thinks she is but not as innocent as she'd like to believe. This actor also doubles in the shows-within-a-show as ''Cindy,'' The role calls for a mezzo-soprano with a strong belt; a sweet high voice.

Paul Maxwell: A successful Broadway producer. In his mid-30s. A bit of a boy wonder. Except with women. But he is great with using his enthusiasm to sell people on his ideas - most of the time. This actor also doubles in the shows within-a-show as ''The Wicked Step-Mother'' in her various guises. This role calls for a bari-tenor; can sing with Broadway pizazz as well as country soul. Has a strong falsetto for the Wicked Step-Mother.

Dolores Duran: Paul's Associate Producer. In her late 20s-early 30s. Smart and quick and she needs to be; she is on the hot seat most of the show. This actor doubles as ''The Wicked Step-Sister'' and the Brooklyn Godmother ''Tina.'' This roll calls for a mezzo-soprano with a strong belt. Particularly interested in non-Caucasian actresses for this role.

Matt Blair: The composer. 30s. Much more sensitive soul than his writing partner, Brian. Not only is the glass always half empty for him but it seems to be half full for everyone else. This actor doubles as ''The Evil Step-Brother'' and ''Johnny.'' This role calls for a tenor and a strong rock voice for Johnny..

Brian Clarke: The book writer. Peter Pan at 45. New Yorker through and through. He has an instant crush on Liz, mostly because the only other available female has already warned him off. This actor doubles as the Borscht Belt Fairy Godfather ''Gaylord,'' and ''B.J,'' the rock club manager. This role calls for a baritone.

Berenice: Female, 40s-50s, African American; she is the Addams’ family cook and confidante to Frankie

Frankie: Female, seeking 18+ to play young adolescent; energetic, restless tomboy; thin, tall, self-conscious

Jarvis: Male, early 20s, Frankie’s brother, newly engaged to Janice, left home to join the Army

Janice: Female, 20ish, sweet, anxious to meet her fiance’s family for the first time

Mrs. West: Female, 30s, John Henry’s mother; vivacious but dowdy

Sis Laura: Female, African American; elderly neighborhood woman, friend of Berenice

T.T. Williams: Male, African American, 50ish, timid and over-polite

Honey Camden Brown: Male, African American, early 20s, slender, high-strung, volatile, mix of hostility & playfulness

One Slight Hitch
by Lewis Black, directed by Kermit Medsker
First rehearsal on or about 10/10/16; runs 10/28/16-11/12/16

Ryan: Male, 28-35, the ex-boyfriend; a bohemian free spirit; he survives on his good looks.

P.B.: Female, 16, Doc and Delia's youngest daughter; she is alternately appalled and excited by the craziness of the family, which we see through her eyes.

Melanie: Female, 30-39, Doc and Delia's daughter; a nurse; attractive party girl and just a little psychotic.

Courtney: Female, 25-30, the bride; Doc and Delia's daughter; freelance writer/artist; torn between a life of artistic freedom or security

Harper: Male, 30-35, the groom; logical and wealthy; can’t help being the ''good guy'' even when he knows it puts his relationship at risk
