Breakdown

All roles have been CAST.

Seeking Equity actors of all races, comfortable with performance dance movement, as understudies/possible replacments to play multiple roles in ensemble cast with non-traditional casting. Elevator Repair Service (ERS) creates original works for the stage with an ongoing ensemble. Fondly, Collette Richland was commissioned by the company from playwright Sibyl Kempson, who wrote the play specifically for the ensemble.

Since this is an original play written for and created collaboratively with the company, in the event of needing an understudy any type of person (of any gender, orientation, race or physical type) would be considered for any part. All are welcome to audition: we look forward to seeing all types of people perform any 2 minute monologue (contemporary preferred) that they enjoy. Familiarity with the work of Elevator Repair Service appreciated but not required. Information can be found at elevator.org

Elevator Repair Service joins forces with playwright Sibyl Kempson to create a new original play.

This production of Kempson’s play features twelve ERS performers and the work of ERS’ award-winning design team. Cast and creative team are veterans of Gatz, The Select, The Sound and the Fury, and Arguendo.

ERS performer Mike Iveson composed the score and accompanies the production live on piano. The production features ERS’ signature choreography and is directed by ERS Artistic Director John Collins.
