SEEKING ACTORS OF ALL ETHNICITIES
DANCING DEVIL:
20s to 30s. Dancer, does a virtuosic top hat and cane number as the devil.
LORD:
Male, 30s to late 40s. The Lord and Savior. Genial yet authoritative. While a little disconnected what's happening on Earth, he is a mighty, benevolent and comforting God. Must be excellent singer and actor.
HENRY FAUST:
Male, late 20s to early 30s. Notre Dame college student, grunge rock tenor, easily influenced by power and incredibly shallow. Dumb but mercurial, a heavy-metal junkie who doesn't know he has a soul. He's a bad boy but in an unimaginative, ill mannered, uncultured way. Has never been in love except with himself. He offers no resistance to the devil. Must be excellent singer and actor.
ANGEL RICK:
Male, 20s to 40s. A British angel, he sings a heavenly-sounding ballad about the Lord's mistreatment of his country in the two world wars.
MARGARET:
Female, late 20s to early 30s. Faust's love interest, the good girl who ultimately goes mad with grief and shame and drowns her baby. The poorest, nicest and most beautiful girl in South Bend. Sweet, sympathetic and pure. Must be excellent singer and actor.
MARTHA:
Female, late 20s to early 30s. Margaret's “bad” friend, who's callous enough to frighten (and seduce) the devil. A no-nonsense sexpot. Beautiful and heartless. Must be excellent singer and actor.
ANGEL CHILD:
Male or Female, late teens to early 20s. Was shot in the head so ended up in heaven, has a decent-sized solo that he/she sings to the devil. Must be excellent singer.
The following role has been CAST.
DEVIL – Randy Newman

SEEKING ACTOR MUSICIANS OF ALL ETHNICITIES
JIM
Male, 30-45. The front man of the Pump Boys. Must play rhythm guitar (country style). Must have the ability to chat with the audience in a very easy way. The storyteller of the evening introduces us to the other characters. Strong singer.
JACKSON
Male, 25-35. The lead guitarist (country style) of the Pump Boys. Referred to as Lover Boy, the ladies like Jackson. Strong singer.
L.M.
Male, 30-40. The piano player (country style) of the Pump Boys. Also could play accordion. They say women gravitate towards L.M, but that only makes him suspicious. Strong singer.
EDDIE
Male, 30-45. The standup and electric bass player (country style) of the Pump Boys. They say he once spent a week with a Hollywood actress, but here he is, still a Pump Boy. Singing ability a plus but not necessary.
RHETTA CUPP
Female, 25-35. A Dinette who works at the Double Cupp Diner. A mother of two, she remains single. Full of life, she can sing, dance, and of course, make great pie. Needs to play instruments, ideally the fiddle. Strong singer.
PRUDIE CUPP
Female, 25-35. A Dinette who works at the Double Cupp Diner. Has all the attributes and talents of her sister, RHETTA. Full of character and fun. Needs to play instruments and have percussive skills. Strong singer.
