BREAKDOWN
Daniel and Mitchell are the ideal couple, everything but married. Daniel believes in marriage; Mitchell does not. When their life together takes a shocking and unexpected turn, we learn about the power and pain of love in this breathtaking and compelling new play.
SEEKING:
ONE ACTOR
to play JACOB and understudy “TRIP” (Male, youthful mid-20s, seeking actors of ALL ETHNICITIES):
“JACOB”. Non-speaking role. A young male nurse who is Mitchell’s nurse in the final scene of the play. For this role, the actor will appear on stage for one scene in every performance.
-AND-
“TRIP” UNDERSTUDY. An in-home care aid, and current dating Barry (who’s older). He is appealing, boyish but the most mature male in the room. Exudes sexuality, kindness, and pragmatism. He’s a responsible caretaker, lovable, above all else. Clearly from his personal style to his dialogue, he lives in another generation from the others, and especially Barry.
