Please be prepared to dance first at the appointed time – everyone in tap shoes (Follies Girls, please wear heels). Please prepare a short cut of a musical theatre song in case you are asked to stay and sing. Bring sheet music in the appropriate key; a pianist will be provided. Bring a picture/resume, stapled.

Equity encourages members to prepare for their audition prior to arriving at the audition venue, to the
extent that they can (e.g., get dressed, hair/make-up, etc.) to avoid crowding in bathrooms and
dressing rooms.
Holding/Audition room information:
The audition room (301) can accommodate no more than 35 dancers at a time.
The holding room (304) can accommodate no more than 40 individuals at a time.
[FOLLIES PERFORMERS]: she/her, 20s-40s, any race/ethnicity, nondisabled or disabled. Strong
dancers, tappers, singers, and comedians. Follies dancers from the city to play roles including: TESS:
dance captain of the Follies girls. A confident leader. In a rocky relationship with Bela and PATSY: a
somewhat ditzy follies girl. Her heart is in the right place. Strong singers.
[DEADROCK CITIZENS/COWBOYS]: he/him, 20s-40s, any race/ethnicity, nondisabled or disabled.
Strong dancers, tappers, singers, and comedians. Country boys who learn how to put on a show in
order to save the town. Some members of this ensemble will have moments of fight choreography with
guns and stunts. Roles include the following cowfolk trio who sings in tight harmony: [MOOSE]
Moose’s physical stature matches his name. Plays bass.
[MINGO], [SAM], and [EUGENE FODOR] 40s+ Intrepid British tourist and adventurer. He hikes into
town with his wife and encourages everyone to keep a stiff upper lip, baritone. Some members of this
ensemble will have moments of fight choreography with guns and stunts.
