PREPARATION

Please prepare a cut from the standard musical theatre repertoire that shows vocal and emotional range. Please do not sing from the show. An accompanist will be provided. Bring your headshot and resume stapled together.

BREAKDOWN

Equity encourages everyone participating in the auditions to wear a two-ply cloth face mask, surgical
mask, singer’s mask or respirator (N95, KN95 or KF94). Single-ply face masks, gaiters and bandanas
are not recommended. Singer’s masks can be found at www.broadwayreliefproject.com/singersmask.
Equity encourages members to prepare for their audition prior to arriving at the audition venue, to the
extent that they can (e.g., get dressed, hair/make-up, etc.) to avoid crowding in bathrooms and
dressing rooms.

[BOBBIE] – Female-Presenting. 30 – 40. Our Narrator. Single, Successful And In Demand. She Is A
Loyal Friend To All Her Friends, But Lost Herself A Bit In All The Play Dates And Dinner Parties. Very
Highly Skilled Mezzo Or Soprano.

[SARAH] – Female-Presenting. 40 – 45. Sarah Is One Of The First Members Of The Company To Be
Introduced To The Musical. She (And Husband Harry) Invite Bobbie For Dinner Where It Soon
Emerges That Sarah Has Been On Every Diet Under The Sun And Has A Firm Weakness For Baked
Goods. Sarah Also Has A Passion For Magazine Subscriptions And Her Newly Discovered Hobby –
Jujitsu.

[HARRY] – Male-Presenting. 40 – 45. Harry Is One Of Bobbie’s Close Friends. Husband Of Sarah.
Harry Travels A Lot On Business & It Becomes Clear That Harry Has A Severe Drinking Problem That
He Refuses To Fully Acknowledge; Highly Skilled Baritone.

[SUSAN] – Female-Presenting. 30 – 40. A Southern Belle, Brave And Front Footed. Married To Peter
And Claims To Be Jealous Of Bobbie’s Single Life. Bright And Funny. Highly Skilled Mezzo Or Soprano.

[PETER] – Male-Presenting. 30 – 40. Married To Susan. A Sweet Man, Swoons At The Sight Of
Blood, Generally Faint-Hearted - But Kind. Highly Skilled Baritone.
