Christmas with Elvis is the comedic story of a lonely, anxious, unhappy woman who gets an unexpected visit by the debauched ghost of Elvis Presley on Christmas Eve…right after discovering her ex-husband is getting married.
An Equity monitor will be provided.

Creative Team
Terry Spencer Hesser is a playwright/screenwriter/novelist and the author of acclaimed American Library Association’s selection “Kissing Doorknobs” as well as a writer/producer of the PBS series “Islands Without Cars.”
Dexter Bullard is an award-winning Chicago theater director who has worked on Broadway (Grace, Linda Vista), Off-Broadway (Lady, Mistakes Were Made, Bug) as well as at Steppenwolf, Goodman, Northlight, A Red Orchid and The Second City. He founded and led “one of Chicago’s pioneer physical theater companies” (Chicago Reader) Plasticine for seventeen years. Dexter has taught acting for 25 years at the undergraduate and graduate level.
Beth Kligerman is a longtime Chicago based producer and casting director - with over 26 years' experience at the legendary - The Second City. Beth is currently a Consulting Producer for HMS Media, Soundsington Media and Just for Laughs. She is a Casting Consultant for NCL Creative Studios based in Tampa, Florida. www.bethkligerman.com

ELVIS: Masc-Identifying, early 40’s, proven comic skills, dialect accuracy, rock/blues/r&b self-accompanying at both piano and guitar. Not just an impersonator – can play the ghost of the “King”. There is intimacy - kissing and close dancing. Intimacy coordinator will be on staff. There is eating in a scene and brief audience interaction. Material includes references to substance use, sex, eating disorders, and neurodivergence.
TRUDY: Femme-identifying, 40’s, proven comedic skills, wide range, bravery and deep vulnerability. There is intimacy - kissing, close dancing, onstage partial costume change, and simulated solo tantric orgasm. Intimacy coordinator will be on staff. Material includes references to substance use, sex, eating disorders and neurodivergence. There is eating in one scene.
