Seeking
ACTORS--open to ALL AGES, ETHNICITIES, and PERFORMERS WITH DISABILITIES unless specified.

Preparation
3 minutes total- strict time limit
2 short (1min) contrasting CONTEMPORARY monologues or 1 (2min) monologue; preferably from a published play (NO original compositions) No classical monologues. MUST bring Picture and Resume, stapled together.

MARK TAPER FORUM 2015 Season (All roles are understudied)

THE PRICE
Walter Franz: Caucasian man in his 50s. Walter is the successful older brother who has been absent for years. Walter is smart, successful and commanding.
Victor Franz: Caucasian man in his mid 40s – early 50s. Victor is a police sergeant who is eligible for his retirement. He is smart, non-confrontational, responsible and unhappy with the life he settled with.

IMMEDIATE FAMILY
Evy: Late 30s, the eldest daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Jesse Bryant. Self-appointed matriarch (and patriarch) of the Bryant clan since the passing of both parents. Religious, opinionated.
Tony: Mid 20s, the baby of the Bryant clan. Handome, energetic, a bit immature, but loyal.
Nina: Early 30s, Jesse's best friend. The Bryant's play sister with a wild sense of humor and style.
Jesse: Early 30s, the middle child. Still searching for what he wants. More like his siblings than he would care to admit.
Ronnie: Late 30s, the product of an extra-marital affair between Rev. Bryant and Ronnie's mother. She is technically the oldest Bryant sibling, having been born 6 months before Evy, but revealed to them all when she was much older. A painter, Ronnie has spent most of her life living in Brussels with her mother.
Kristian: Early 30s male, Jesse's partner. Swedish, but has been living in America for several years now. Kind, open-hearted. A photographer.

BENT
Max: Late 30.: His life is slipping by him. He is eccentric, a bon-vivant, who is dependent on his family for money. He is a survivor, resourceful, who always lands on his feet.
Horst: Late 20s – early 30: Thin man with the biggest heart, vulnerable, soulful and emotionally raw.
Rudy: Mid 20s: He is a dancer and should have the physical look of a dancer and the movements of someone who lives in their body.
Freddy: 60s+: Max's uncle. He is effeminate, he is someone you would question their sexual orientation.
Wolf: 20s – 30s: Beautiful specimen of a man, ideals of Hitler’s youth.
Greta: 40s+. Mysterious, wise, transgender male bar owner.

APPROPRIATE
Antoinette Toni Lafayette: Late 40s - early 50s, woman. Toni is the eldest Lafayette sibbling who resents her younger brothers for their limited participation in caring for their dying father.
Rhys Thurston: Late teens, young man. Rhys is Toni's son and only child. He is a quiet observer.
Beauregarde Bo Lafayette: Late 40s- early 50s, man. Bo is the middle child, financially supported his father for the past few years. He is practical, business-like and frustrated with his sister's martyr attitude and brother's absence.
Rachael Kramer-Lafayette: Late 40s, woman. Rachael is married to Bo and does not feel connected or interested in being a part of the Lafayette family.
Francois Franz/Frank Lafayette: Late 30s - early 40s, man. Frank is the youngest Lafayette sibling who has been missing from the family for several years.
River Rayner: Early 20s, woman. River is Frank's fiancee.
Cassidy Cassie Kramer-Lafayette: Early teens, young woman. Cassie is the oldest child of Bo and Rachael. She is a bit quirky and walks to the beat of her own drummer.
Ainsley Kramer-Lafayette: Male, child. He is the youngest child of Bo and Rachael.

THE CHRISTIANS
Paul: Mid 40s - Late 50s, pastor at a large christian church. He is kind, thoughtful and very sincere.
Elizabeth: 40s, wife of the pastor and christian women's leader at the church.
Joshua: 30s, the associate pastor at the church. Carismatic and entergetic.
Jay: Late 60s+. He is the church elder.
Jenny: Late 30s - early 40s. She is the a mother and church member.
