Cardinal Stage Company is seeking local and non-local actors for our 2018-19 Mainstage Season including the following productions: THE CHRISTIANS, ROUNDING THIRD, and THE GLASS MENAGERIE. See breakdown for details.
PREPARATION
Please prepare 2 contrasting contemporary monologues, no more than 2 minutes each.

THE CHRISTIANS By Lucas Hnath

1st Rehearsal - September 25, 2018, Performances - October 18 - November 4, 2018
All roles available.
Pastor - late 40's - late 50's, male identified. A charismatic, warm church leader who is struggling to take his church in a new direction.
Wife - late 40's - late 50's, female identified. A smart and strong woman who knows when it's necessary to speak her mind.
Asssociate - 30's, male identified. Passionate and ambitious up-and-coming preacher. Has the fervent beliefs of a convert.
Elder - 60+, male identified. A board member who is a pragmatist. He likes the Pastor, but he doesn't want to rock the boat.
Congregant - 20's-30's, female identified. An undereducated single mother struggling to make ends meet and come to terms with her faith.
ROUNDING THIRD By Richard Dresser

1st Rehearsal - January 2, 2019 Performances - January 24 - February 10, 2019
All roles available.
Don - late 30's-late 40's, male identified. Longstanding head coach of a little league baseball team. Blue collar, a hot-head, someone who wants to win at all costs. Has a great relationship with his players and a secret heart of gold.
Michael - late 30's-late 40's, male identified. New assistant coach who doesn't know a lot about baseball. White collar, even tempered and just wants the kids to have fun. Wants to do a good job and befriend Don, but doesn't know how.
THE GLASS MENAGERIE By Tennessee Williams

1st Rehearsal - February 26, 2019 Performances - March 21 - April 7, 2019
Available roles are Laura and Jim.
Laura - late 20's-early 30's, female identified. A sensitive girl with severe social anxiety. She finds wonder in everyday things and regularly retreats to the world of fantasy. She dreams of a better life but has been self-conscious her whole life of her physical appearance. Lives with a minor limp that is the result of a childhood illness.
Jim - late 20's-early 30's, male identified. The gentleman caller. Former classmate of Laura's who was a hotshot in high school. His glory days are now behind him and the shine is starting to wear off.
