Logger: (Male identifying, 46, Black) Sings. Laidback and a smooth talker but conflicted in love. Did not finish school but is a lover of poetry and knowledge.
Schoolch: (Male identifying, 40s, White) School teacher in Boonville who rarely speaks outside of the classroom. When he speaks, people take notice. A man of very few words but a good dancer.
Boy: (Male identifying, 18, White) Overly confident, mouthy, and flirtatious; he’s used to getting what he wants. Wants to know what to do to win her heart. Sings and plays guitar in scenes. Reads music and sings.

Fully accepts things as they are, and only wants Don to step up where he’s needed most. Open to submissions from Alto's (belt to C5 optimal).
COMPANY MEMBER 7: 20s-40s, Black, male identifying, Tenor with a soulful funk and old gospel sound. Flexible between a rotating group of Soul Train personalities within the ensemble. Voice, presence, and humor. No dance necessary. Understudies 'Tony': Don’s eldest son. The only one who came around Soul Train, and shares a similar presence. Loyal, ambitious, on his way to being the next Don Cornelius, if only his father would let him. Wants his father’s love and respect most of all.
