BREAKDOWN
BURT & ME
Seeking seven smart, contemporary singer/actors who can dance and/or move well and have the ability to hold harmonies for the musical BURT & ME.
Weaving the sophisticated music of Burt Bacharach, a couple reminisces about their relationship from high school to present day.
Needed:
JOE - (Tenor, A-A) Male, teens to late 40's. Any ethnicity. A very personable and charming romantic lead/narrator. Piano ability a plus but not required.
JERRY - (Tenor, A-G) - Male, teens to late 40's. Any ethnicity. Joe's best friend and sidekick. Believes himself to be quite the ladies man. Comedic actor with excellent timing and a strong falsetto to B.
MALE - Teens to late 40's. Any ethnicity. Versatile and personable actor to be part of the ensemble and play multiple smaller roles.
LACEY - (Mezzo Sop. w/ belt mix, A-G) Female, teens to late 40's. Any ethnicity. Personable and charming romantic lead.
SALLY - (Alto/Mezz mix, G-Eb). Female, teens to late 40's. Any ethnicity. Lacey's friend, Energetic and quirky young character actress with excellent comic timing.
WOMAN - Teens to late 40's. Any ethnicity. Versatile and personable actress to be part of the ensemble and play multiple smaller roles. Piano ability a plus but not required
1 MAN: (Baritone, G-E) mid 40's to mid 50's. Excellent sincere singer/actor to play multiple roles, including Joe's father.
