BREAKDOWN

SEEKING THE FOLLOWING ROLES ONLY:

JEFF DOUGLAS- (very late 30’s to mid 40s) Tommy’s best friend. Jeff is pleasantly cynical and good-natured. He is not the romantic that Tommy is but is ultimately game for the adventure in Brigadoon especially when Meg makes an obvious play for him. Actor must have a fine sense of ironic comedy an easy charm. NON-SINGING ROLE

ANDREW MACLAREN- (mid to late 50s) Scottish father of Fiona and Jean, a hearty soul in his late fifties. He is a bit pompous and has a loud and gruff voice. Strong, legit voice.

ARCHIE BEATON (late 40s to early 50s)- Harry Beaton’s father. A kind looking Scot, sells wool and some plaids. Strong, legit voice.

MR. LUNDIE (late 50s to late 60s)- A Scottish school master. While he is kind and his manner is entirely benign, he is in no way sentimental. He speaks with little trace of emotion. He is the wise sage of Brigadoon. The actor must have great integrity and stature. His accent is pronounced but is always intelligible. Seeking a star or important, established actor.
