Seeking strong Male and Female singers/actors for principal roles. Please see breakdown for more info. We're NOT auditioning children's roles at this time. Minors should NOT attend this call.

Preparation

Please bring your book with a 32 bar contemporary musical theatre cut in your key. An accompanist will be provided. Bring current headshot and resume.

Dad: Male, 50s. Leading actor who sings. Working class Geordie miner. Single parent to Tony and Billy. Narrow-minded. Tries to do his best for his family.

Grandma: Female, 60s-70s. Seeking strong comic actress. Singing and movement skills required. Basic tap a plus. Once feisty, she is succumbing to dementia.

Tony: Male, 20s. Billy's brother. Geordie miner. Excellent singing voice. Outspoken. Loud, macho, up for a fight.

George: Male, 40s-60s. Billys boxing teacher. Geordie miner. Excellent comedy skills. Friend of Billy's dad. Community-spiritied spokesman of the miners. Singing not essential, basic tap a plus.
