SEEKING

Equity actors for roles in Arc Stages 2023-24 Season (see breakdown).

Actors of all races and ethnicities are encouraged to audition.

Equity encourages everyone participating in the auditions to wear a two-ply cloth face mask, surgical mask, singer’s mask or respirator (N95, KN95 or KF94). Single-ply face masks, gaiters and bandanas are not recommended. Singer’s masks can be found at www.broadwayreliefproject.com/singersmask.

Equity encourages members to prepare for their audition prior to arriving at the audition venue, to the extent that they can (e.g., get dressed, hair/make-up, etc.) to avoid crowding in bathrooms and dressing rooms.

PREPARATION

Please prepare a brief contemporary monologue or a brief musical theatre song. An accompanist will be provided.

Performances will run Fridays & Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm from February 2, 2024 through February 17 (possible extension till February 18).

Man: Age range late 20’s to late 30’s. A single, average man living alone in New York City. He dreams of finding a beautiful woman, but is jaded at the idea of a deeply committed relationship. Vocal range F2 - G4

The Sound Inside by Adam Rapp

When Bella Baird, an isolated creative writing professor at Yale, begins to mentor a brilliant but enigmatic student named Christopher, the two form an unexpectedly intense bond. As their lives and the stories they tell about themselves become intertwined in unpredictable ways, Bella makes a surprising request of Christopher that neither knows if he can fulfill.
