Equity actors for roles in AVENUE Q (See breakdown).

Avenue Q is Rated R due to adult language,situations,and puppet sex. That’s right, puppet sex.

All roles will be understudied.

Local Chicago/Crystal Lake actors are encouraged to audition.

Experience in puppetry is a plus, but not required.

PREPARATION

Please prepare a short song selection that you have fun performing and shows off your personality, physicality and playfulness as well as vocal strengths. Princeton: A fresh-faced kid just out of college, Vocal Range B flat 2 to G4

Kate Monster: A kindergarten teaching assistant, a bit older than Princeton, Vocal Range F#3 to F5 Nicky: A bit of a slacker who lives with Rod, Vocal range B2 - B4

Rod: A Republican investment banker with a secret, Vocal Range A2 to G4

Trekkie Monster: A reclusive creature obsessed by the internet, Vocal Range Bflat2 - E flat 4 Lucy: A vixenish vamp with a dangerous edge, Vocal Range F3 to F5

The Bad Idea Bears: Two snuggly, cute teddy-bear types, Vocal Range Bflat 3 to G4 Mrs. T.: Ancient, Kate's Boss, speaking role

Human Characters:

Brian: Male-identifying, A laid-back guy married to Christmas Eve, Vocal Range B2 to F#4 Christmas Eve: Female-identifying, A therapist who moved here from Japan, Vocal Range B3 to F#5

Gary Coleman: Male or female-identifying, or gender fluid. Yes, that Gary Coleman. He lives on the Avenue, too. He's the superintendent. D3 to Bflat 5
