Equity male and female singer/musicians for the ensemble and special chorus parts.

Note: There will be no ECC/Dancer call for this production.

Preparation
Prepare 16 bars of a pop or contemporary musical theater song. Bring sheet music; accompanist provided. If auditioning for a character that plays an instrument, prepare a short selection to demonstrate skill level. Bring your own instrument (piano provided).

Breakdown

MALE ENSEMBLE
All ages and ethnicities to play various roles and instruments. Instruments include guitar, ukulele, horn, percussion, xylophone, cello, trumpet, and harmonica. Must sing well.

FEMALE ENSEMBLE
All ages and ethnicities to play various roles and instruments. Instruments include guitar, ukulele, horn, percussion, xylophone, cello, trumpet, and harmonica. Must sing well.

ARTHUR X
To play an African-American Thirteen to Sixteen years old boy. Child busker and leader of the pack. (A modern day Artful Dodger.) Scrappy and street smart. Must sing well. MUST PLAY GUITAR.

MS. GORDON
Forties-Fifties Woman. Music teacher at Julliard. Must have strong comedic skills.

HOPE
To play African-American Eight to Twelve year old girl. Soloist in the Harlem Choir. Must sing well. IDEALLY PLAY BASIC PIANO.

LIZZIE
Early/Mid –Twenties Woman. Best friend to Lyla. IDEALLY SHOULD PLAY AN INSTRUMENT.

MARSHALL
Mid/Late Twenties man. Older brother of Louis, and member of The Connelly Brothers Band. Must sing well. MUST PLAY BASS GUITAR.
