PHANTOM OF THE OPERA
PHANTOM/ERIC (Male, 20s-30s) Elegant, charming and yet – deeply disturbed. Lived for almost his whole life in the opera house. He is obsessed with Christine, which leads him onto a path of revenge and murder in her name. Baritone. Any ethnicity.
CHRISTINE DAAE (Female, 20s-30) Beautiful, kind-hearted and naive young opera singer. She feels a true kinship and affection for Eric, despite his troubles. Lyric Soprano. .
CARLOTTA (Female, 30s-40s+) A demanding diva, willing to go as far as to poison Christine when she becomes a threat to her soprano reign. Legit Mezzo-soprano.
GERARD CARRIER (Male, 40s-60s) The former manager of the opera house. Eric’s father. Baritone.
COUNT DE CHANTON/PHILLIPPE (Male, 20s-30s) The handsome and self-confident opera benefactor. In love with Christine. Legit tenor.
JEAN-CLAUDE (Male, 40s-50s) The stage manager. Featured role.
