Kia B - 17, (black, female. could be femme, ambiguous or non-binary gender) knowing, smart, loves hiphop, hates Drake. Has a catalog of black women rappers in her lexicon, from a respectable hardworking 'race family', good grades and college, black church deacons, black women teachers, the whole thing. She's expected to date the paster's son. Can sing a little, can rap a little, or sing/rap as popstars do.
Jimmy T. Jr - 17, (white, male) - hates high school but hasnt given up, just doesnt see the benefit. earnest, intense, playful, inventive, dreamer, loves hiphop and loves Drake, colorblind (maybe?), Can sing a little, can rap a little, or sing/rap as popstars do.
Kia B’s Grandmother Pearl, Kia B’s Mother Regina, ½ of Drake, Town Voices (Adult Black female) race woman, church going but in the black rise up community way, not the holy roller way but the conservative values inform her worldview. Expects excellence, no illusions about the world, but not bitter. Sweet. Clear. Can sing a little, can rap a little, or sing/rap as popstars do.
Jimmy T’s father Jimmy Sr., ½ of Drake, Town Voices (Adult White Male) - American, hardworking, mechanically inclined, so much that he collects things to fix, likes the order of things, colorblind, believes in bootstraps, but in a real way, Shapshifter - also plays 1/2 of Drake and Town Voices. Can sing a little, can rap a little, or sing/rap as popstars do.
