BREAKDOWN
Aida:
female, 18-25, a strong, beautiful, brave Nubian Princess, rebellious, who must become a leader for her people in captivity but is torn between her responsibility and new love for the Egyptian Captain, Radames. Daughter of Warrior Queen Amanishakheto. Vocal range top: G3-F5.
Radames:
male, 20-28, an Egyptian Captain and the son of Zoser. A strong, handsome, adventurous soldier who has to choose to between duty to his country and his love for Aida. Vocal range: G3-Ab5.
Amneris:
female, 18-25, a beautiful and underestimated Egyptian Princess, who loves to hold court. She is engaged to Radames but discovers what is means to be truly loved. Daughter of the Pharaoh. Vocal range: E3-F5.
Mereb:
male, 16-21, a young Nubian servant to Radames. He is quick witted and sly and wise beyond his years. He sees and hears everything. He is faithful to his Nubian heritage and befriends Aida upon her arrival to Egypt. Vocal range: G3-A5.
Zoser:
male, 45-55, the manipulative and Chief Minister. Nationalistic and power hungry. He is fearful of a rumored Nubian rise and ceasing any opportunity he can to elevate his son, Radames. Vocal range: D4-D5
Amanishakheto (Kandake):
female, 45-55, warrior Queen of Nubia. Demanding and a fierce leader. Mother to Aida. Vocal range G3- D5
