Auditions should be no longer than 5 minutes. Performers may prepare a brief song of their choice. SpeakEasy suggests two brief selections, one up-tempo and one ballad. An accompanist, readers, and material from the scripts will be available at the auditions. Production scripts can be accessed by contacting SpeakEasy at auditions@speakeasystage.com.

Other: For these auditions, no nudity or any form of sexual contact will be required as part of an actor’s audition. We will not ask prospective participants to perform violence or sexual contact as part of an audition without disclosing this expectation in the audition notice or invitation. Submissions should be no longer than 5 minutes Please prepare a brief contemporary musical theatre song that shows your style and vocal range (ideally matching that of the character). If you do not have access to accompaniment, you may sing your theme of choice, a cappella. Alternatively, you can prepare the cut of A Sympathetic Ear, as performed by Thought 1.
