Bring picture and resume, stapled together.

Breakdown

Seeking:

Karla
Late 20’s. Female. A charismatic woman whose pretty face and somewhat childlike demeanor belies and incredibly dirty mouth. Spunky, spirited, angry, aggressive, wickedly funny. She hides a sorrow and vulnerability inside her. Large role.

Don
Late 40’s. Male. An unassuming man. Kind and empathetic by nature, caring and nurturing. The stresses of his life at the moment make him cranky and impatient. Bad-tempered and angry. Large role

The following roles have been CAST. Actors will be considered for possible replacements if needed:

Marcie
ROLE CAST.
Mid-50s. Karla’s mother. Very dry wit. Her dark humor belies not only oceans of pain but also an abusive, selfish cruelty. Acid-tongued and sarcastic. Large role. (role is cast)

Geena
ROLE CAST.
70’s. Don’s mother. In the last stages of cancer. Brave but very tired. Caring and kind. Very small role. (role is cast)

Malcolm
ROLE CAST. 17. Don’s adopted son. African American. Feisty and aggressive. Very smart. Sarcastic to a degree that only teen-agers can achieve. Impatient. Small role. (role is cast)
