A Christmas Story, The Musical
Book by Joseph Robinette/Music & Lyrics by Benj Pasek & Justin Paul, based on the Warner Bros motion picture written by Jean Shepherd, Leigh Brown and Bob Clark
Description: This lively Tony-nominated musical is based on the classic holiday movie about a boy who wants a Red Rider BB gun for Christmas. The ensemble (chorus) parts in Christmas Story: the Musical require physically strong, versatile singer/dancers who appear in most of the numbers of the musical. This is a fun musical that includes an ensemble of young actors (under 13 years old). Most of the dance features advanced tap. Actors should enjoy working with young people.
SEEKING: (5) AEA males, ethnically diverse, 30s-40s, for ensemble roles of Santa, Fantasy villains, Waiter, Neighbors and Townspeople, Chief Elf, etc. Baritones, tenors, good with harmony. (2) Males must be strong enough to lift kids in dance numbers; (1) 40s – Santa – grumpy, clockwatching elf who’s seen it all. All ensemble members must tap well
