Preparation

Please prepare at least 32 bars of a song which shows your voice at its best, and a one minute comedic monologue. Bring sheet music in your key; an accompanist will be provided. Bring a current headshot and resume.

Personnel

Artistic Director/Director Mr. William Pullinsi and Music Direction Mr. Bill Underwood will attend with casting authority.

BUDDY FAULK - young cousin to Sook, a 10-year-old version of the writer. A sweet and sensitive boy with an active imagination

ADULT BUDDY - early 30's, a successful Manhattan writer with a poetic soul, currently at an emotional and professional crossroads

ANNA STABLER - 35-50, the Faulks' African American housekeeper with a sharp sense of humor and a strong sense of self

NELLE (rhymes with Belle) HARPER - 11-13, Buddy's tomboy neighbor and nemesis whose tough exterior masks a need to connect emotionally with someone

understudy SOOK (rhymes with book) FAULK - 45-65, childlike and emotional, full of life and good will, wearing her heart on her sleeve

understudy BUDDY FAULK - young cousin to Sook, a 10-year-old version of the writer. A sweet and sensitive boy with an active imagination

understudy ADULT BUDDY - early 30's, a successful Manhattan writer with a poetic soul, currently at an emotional and professional crossroads

understudy JENNIE FAULK - 45-65, Sook's domineering spinster sister, confident she knows what's right for everyone in her family

understudy ANNA STABLER - 35-50, the Faulks' African American housekeeper with a sharp sense of humor and a strong sense of self

understudy NELLE (rhymes with Belle) HARPER - 11-13, Buddy's tomboy neighbor and nemesis whose tough exterior masks a need to connect emotionally with someone
