Theatre Aspen kicks off its 30th Anniversary Season in June with new programs and a full summer line-up of performances. The 2013 season boasts the largest cast ever and most ambitious shows of the theater's history including LES MISERABLES.

Paige Price has been the Artistic Director of the theatre for the past six years, bringing her impressive theatrical credits to the position. She has a performance career that spans decades and includes Broadway, National Tours and Regional Theater. Price carries out much of the theater's administration in New York City and travels frequently to Colorado, where she is in residence for the entire summer. Price takes full advantage of the talent pool in New York where she casts many of her performers, and uses her contacts for designers, directors, and her creative teams.

In addition to LES MISERABLES, Theatre Aspen will produce You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, directed by Price. The season also includes a one-man show, Fully Committed, and a new show for one night only, Cross that River. Patrons can take advantage of single tickets or subscribe to the entire season. Group rates are also available. The theater has a flexible schedule which allows for a great deal of opportunity to attend all of the shows throughout the summer months.

This year, Theatre Aspen will launch its first Apprentice Program. Paige Price and her team reviewed over 750 applications for 10 openings. She said, "The applications were very impressive and there was a great deal of competition for the program." The theater also has year-round youth programs and a considerable summer theater arts camp.

The 2013 season has received unprecedented support from the community. Price said, "Our new board leadership is positioned to lift Theatre Aspen into a new level of regional theater that will garner national attention." It is this support that allowed the theater to hold their 30th Anniversary Gala, a costume ball, which was attended by over 200 guests.

With much of the preparation fully underway, Theatre Aspen is poised to have an excellent season. Price said, "This season is the culmination of a creative vision for the organization, one that has been enabled by unprecedented community and donor support. Our audience can expect the biggest theatrical event ever seen in the Aspen area."
