Back by popular demand, GIRLS ONLY - The Secret Comedy of WomenTM returns to the Garner Galleria Theatre tonight through December 31. Single tickets are now on sale at www.denvercenter.org.
GIRLS ONLY, written by Barbara Gehring and
Linda Klein, is an original comedy that celebrates the honor, truth, humor and silliness of being female. With a two-woman cast and audiences full of raucous, laughing ladies, the show has found quick popularity in its unique examination of all things girly. The two roles in the show are performed by Gehring and Klein, as well as Amie MacKenzie.
Born out of the earnest and sweetly absurd writings the two authors discovered in their girlhood diaries, the GIRLS ONLY mix of sketch comedy, improvisation, audience participation, and hilarious songs and videos reminds audiences of the very funny and very charming similarities all women share.
GIRLS ONLY, lovingly intended for female audiences, ran continuously for nearly two years at the Garner Galleria Theatre playing to nearly 90,000 women and grossing over $2.3 million. Additional productions played in Des Moines, Charlotte, Winnipeg and Minneapolis.
