The public phase will begin with a campaign rally, 'Raise the Roof,' held on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, from 6:30 p.m.- 8:30 p.m. in Beck Center's Main Gallery. The rally will include a reception, short presentation, and renderings of the project. The 'Raise the Roof' rally is open to all interested in learning more about the Creating Our Future Capital Campaign and how the project will benefit all of Northeast Ohio.

General Director Matthew Shilvock today announced the establishment of the Department of Diversity, Equity and Community at San Francisco Opera. Charles Chip Mc Neal, currently Senior Curriculum & Program Manager in the San Francisco Opera Education Department, will lead the new department, becoming the Company's first Director of Diversity, Equity and Community effective August 1, 2019.

As part of its Open Spectrum series, New York Live Arts is hosting a discussion on mental health in the arts community. Moderated by Latina feminist mental health activist Dior Vargas, the panel will include multidisciplinary artist A'Driane Nieves aka addyeB, poet/artist/cultural worker Caits Meissner, writer/photojournalist Loubna Mrie, and professional ballerina/mental health advocate/singer Sydney Magruder Washington. The forum is curated by culture creator/marketing strategist Brian Tate.

The York Symphony Orchestra will present the annual Holiday Pops Spectacular on Saturday, Nov. 24 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Appell Center for the Performing Arts in York. Celebrity Attractions, in association with Tulsa Ballet, is proud to present a special dance masterclass with the national Broadway tour of AN AMERICAN IN PARIS. The masterclass will be held Wednesday, June 20 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Tulsa Ballet studios located at 1212 E 45th Place in Tulsa. AN AMERICAN IN PARIS Dance Captain Christopher Howard will lead local metro Tulsa area dance students ages 14 and up in an advanced level workshop. Student sign-ups are now open and must be made in advance.

Tulsa Ballet, under the artistic direction of Marcello Angelini, will return to The Joyce Theater with a program of works created specifically for the company, including Glass Figures, a world premiere by Resident Choreographer Ma Cong, from March 6-10. Returning to NYC for the first time since 2009, the company will also perform Annabelle Lopez Ochoa's Shibuya Blues and Helen Pickett's Meoal (Among).
