The Theatre @ Boston Court to Bring Two Shows to New York

The Theatre @ Boston Court announces two critically acclaimed Main Stage productions to receive New York premieres in June, 2015.

The Theatre @ Boston Court and Rattlestick Playwrights Theater present The Twentieth-Century Way, by Tom Jacobson, directed by Michael Michetti, and featuring Will Bradley and Robert Mammana. Opening night is June 3 at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, 224 Waverly Pl, New York, NY. The Twentieth-Century Way received its world premiere on Boston Court's Main Stage April 29 through June 20, 2010.

The Flea Theater presents The Theatre @ Boston Court's production of Happy Days, by Samuel Beckett, directed by Andrei Belgrader, and featuring Brooke Adams and Tony Shalhoub. Opening night is June 29 at The Flea Theater, 41 White St, New York, NY. The Theatre @ Boston Court's production of Samuel Beckett's Happy Days premiered on Boston Court's Main Stage September 13 through October 19, 2014 and was subsequently presented by Commonwealth Shakespeare Company in Wellesley, MA, November, 2014.

About The Twentieth-Century Way:

Based on a little-known incident in LA history, this theatrical thrill ride explores the collision of reality and fantasy as two actors juggle various roles to entrap homosexuals for "social vagrancy" in the public restrooms of 1914 Long Beach. But are they actually entrapping each other? Who they are and what they need is a mystery that deepens with every twist and turn.

Creative team for The Twentieth-Century Way includes: Clifton Chadick (Scenic Design), Elizabeth Harper (Lighting Design), Garry Lennon (Costume Design), Laura Perez (Stage Manager), SallyCade Holmes (Associate Producer).

Performances run May 28 through July 19 with opening night set for June 3, 2015. Mon, Thurs, Fri at 8pm, Sat at 6pm and 10pm, Sun at 3pm. Tickets range from $10 - $50 and are available to the general public now at Rattlestick.org.

About Happy Days:

Renowned director Andrei Belgrader re-examines this Samuel Beckett classic, newly relevant to a generation burdened by climate change and environmental doom. Brooke Adams plays Winnie, a woman buried up to her bosom in a mound of dirt with nothing to pass the time but the ragged contents of her bag, her nimble wit, and her husband Willie, played by Tony Shalhoub, lurking somewhere behind her. This droll, existential allegory demonstrates the vitality of the human spirit in the face of a deteriorating world.

Creative team for Happy Days includes Takeshi Kata (Scenic Design), Tom Ontiveros (Lighting Design), Melanie Watnick (Costume Design), Madison Rhoades (Prop Design), Michal V. Mendelson (Stage Manager), and Alyssa Escalante (Production Consultant).
